CERAMIC BAMBI in Lamdan Garden, URIM
yoninasceramicbambi.jpg
Yonina made this "Bambi" which her grandchildren love

This large BAMBI was sculpted by Yonina 18 years ago, in
honor of the first birthday of the Lamdan's first grandson,
Shachar! Since then it has stood in front of their home
in Kibbutz Urim, where all 13 grandchildren have enjoyed
climbing on and "riding" it! Bambi is much beloved by all.

The limestone "Eagle" stands at rest on an antique stone,
in Yonina's Sculpture Garden in Kibbutz Urim. It reigns
magestically over the entire area, greeting all visitors
to the Industrial Area of the kibbutz. Approximately
1.50 meters tall, this stone weathers beautifully in sun
and rain.

Janus, the ancient symbol of entry and exit, of "Welcome"
and "Farewell", the source of the name of the first month of the year "January", is here depicted as a Two-faced bird
"Janus-Birds". The sculpture is from limestone, and was
requested by the owner of the Amalia Arbel Gallery in Tel-
Aviv at the end of the five-month exhibit of Yonina's
sculpture there.

Here you'll learn all about my Sculpture! Having begun with clay and ceramic sculpture, I have continued with wood, and welded metal, and now focus my efforts in stone sculpture - mostly marble. I have executed several large
works, for the Beeri Sculpture Path, the Kibbutz Urim Cultural Center, the Museum of the Shefelah in Kfar Menachem- formerly exhibited in the City Square in Tel Aviv in honor of Yitzchak Rabin. It has been on eshibit at the Shfelah Museum at Kfar Menachem since 1998.
My latest 5 ton sculpture of "The Sun" is in the JNF Park Sculpture Path in the Negev,  leading from Kibbutz Hatzerim to the Israeli Air Force Museum. My own "Yonina's Sculpture Garden" is viewable all
year round at my studio at the entrance to the industrial area of Kibbutz Urim in the Negev. A new large statue is on permanent show at Kibbutz NirOz.
I have been sculpting for over 30 years, and exhibiting at
least one solo show each and every year. In addition I participate in many joint shows with artists of Urim and our neighboring district. Our Art Gallery in Kibbutz Urim has been functioning for over 10 years now:"TZIURIM". In my studio my works of sculpture and painting are on view, as well as the mosaics of my husband and partner, Matz Lamdan. Come visit!

In this site I'll show you a number of sculptures in various
media. Sizes are various, and some are definitely shippable
or possible to carry home for display indoors or out.
You're invited to view, choose and contact me - or better yet, come to see for yourself!!!!! Yonina Lamdan

ALLIGATORS of EUCALYPTUS TREE
eucalyptusalligators.gif
Alligators carved from eucalyptus tree

eucalyptusalligators.gif

This eucalyptus tree turned into a wooden sculpture of
"Alligators". It's length is close to two meters and
is supported on a metal stand......The subject came from
Ami and Yosef's each working with alligators while seeing
the world - Ami in Bolivia and Yosef in Kenya! Yonina
sculpted the wooden alligators in 1990, and since then
they have enhanced her sculpture garden in Kibbutz Urim,
just moving for exhibits in various venues....

This bronze version of the Standing Lovers was originally sculpted in limestone. 20 x 55 x 20 c"m
